Low back pain, neck and shoulder pain, postural problems, deep tissue and pregnancy massage are common reasons people come to see Jenika-Rae.
Jenika-Rae first became interested in massage therapy while pursuing a degree in social work. During one of her courses, an instructor shared with the class that they were working on a touch therapy project with several hospital patients. She became fascinated with how the practical application of physical touch can not only improve a person’s emotional well being, but their overall quality of life as well. Having always wanted to help people, she decided to pursue a career in massage therapy.
Jenika-Rae is passionate about helping her clients achieve increased mobility and freedom from the pain of injury. She works with a wide variety of clients including professionals from all backgrounds, often office workers or nurses who spend a lot of time at a desk or on their feet. She enjoys educating clients about the underlying reasons they may be experiencing discomfort or pain and how massage may provide treatment. Jenika-Rae’s treatment style includes a lot of fascial work and deep tissue work with a sensitivity to each individuals tolerance for pressure.
